Privacy policy

Updated October 14, 2026

This policy covers the Flipsies website at flipsies.dev. It does not replace the separate privacy disclosures for any native mobile app.

On your device

Flipsies stores game progress, streaks, preferences and saved results in your browser. Sharing sends the result text, link or image you choose to the destination you select. Anyone with a shared result link may be able to view the result it contains.

Game results and share counts

Daily scores and landing positions are sent to our server for score distributions and community landing views. Successful share and copy actions are counted by day and share type. Those share counters do not identify the recipient or establish whether someone opened a link. Gameplay and share-count requests operate separately from optional analytics.

Analytics and errors

Google Analytics measures visits, game starts, completions and shares, using a first-party cookie containing a random identifier to recognise return visits. Google signals and advertising personalization are disabled for these analytics. In European regions analytics waits for permission; elsewhere it may run unless you turn it off. Global Privacy Control is treated as a refusal. Change the analytics choice in Stats. Vercel Web Analytics counts page views and information such as country, browser and device type without an analytics cookie; the site stops it when analytics are declined or Global Privacy Control is enabled. Sentry receives browser error reports to help diagnose faults; reports are configured to exclude saved runs and player identity.

DLE Club and optional sign-in

These games connect to DLE Club for shared daily results and optional progress syncing. The club uses a random player identifier. If you choose to sign in, supported progress can sync through the club across devices. Public club boards can display your chosen name and scores. See DLE Club’s privacy policy for its account, sign-in and syncing practices.

Hosting and service providers

Vercel hosts the website and its API, and Neon provides game database services. Providers process connection information, including IP addresses, to deliver requests and operate their services. Security and rate-limiting systems help prevent abuse. Providers may process information outside your country, including in the United States.

Website advertising

We are preparing to introduce website advertising through Playwire. Playwire advertising is not yet live as of the date above. Before activation, this policy and the site’s advertising privacy controls will be updated to reflect the services enabled. Playwire and its advertising partners may process cookies or similar identifiers, IP addresses, browser and device information, approximate location, and ad impressions and interactions to serve and measure ads and prevent fraud. Personalized advertising may involve information about activity across sites, subject to applicable choices and consent. Read Playwire’s privacy policy. Optional analytics choices are separate from advertising choices.

All or partial advertising on this Website or App is managed by Playwire LLC. If Playwire publisher advertising services are used, Playwire LLC may collect and use certain aggregated and anonymized data for advertising purposes. To learn more about the types of data collected, how data is used and your choices as a user, please visit https://www.playwire.com/privacy-policy.

Retention and your choices

Local progress stays on your device until it is removed by you, the browser or the game’s cleanup routines. Clearing browser storage does not delete records already held on our servers. Server records support gameplay, historical comparisons, security and troubleshooting; retention varies by record type, and backups may persist separately. Contact us to request access, correction or deletion. Include the game, puzzle date, chosen display name or result link where relevant, but do not send passwords or authentication tokens. We may need information to locate your records and verify a request; aggregate statistics may not identify an individual.

Contact and changes

The website is operated by Isaac Audet, trading as Trim Automation, in British Columbia, Canada. For privacy questions or requests, email isaac@trimautomation.com. This policy may be updated as the game’s features or providers change. The date above identifies this version.
